Who we are
Wipz ("Wipz", "we", "us") is a UK-focused group-payment app currently in development. This website collects a limited amount of personal data from people joining our early-access waitlist. The contact point for all data protection matters is barnypinner@gmail.com.
What we collect
When you join the waitlist, we collect the email address you provide. We don't collect your name, phone number, or any other personal details through this website. Our hosting providers (GitHub Pages) may also process standard technical data such as your IP address and browser type as part of normal web server logging.
Why we collect it
We use your email address for one purpose: to let you know when Wipz is ready for early access. We rely on your consent as the legal basis for this, given freely when you submit the waitlist form. You can withdraw that consent at any time by emailing us and asking to be removed.
Where it's stored
Waitlist emails are stored in our database, provided by Supabase Inc. Where our infrastructure providers process data outside the UK or European Economic Area, appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) are in place. We don't sell, rent, or share your email address with any third party for marketing purposes.
Third-party services
This site loads typefaces from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com), which may result in your IP address being shared with Google as part of that request. We don't use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies on this site.
How long we keep it
We keep waitlist email addresses until Wipz launches and you either create an account or ask us to delete your details, whichever comes first. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access the data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, and request a copy in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, email barnypinner@gmail.com. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Wipz develops, particularly once the app itself launches and processes more data (such as payment and group information). We'll post any changes on this page.
